Patrick W. Bass (born February 22, 1969) is an American author, cybersecurity professional, podcast host, voice actor, and technology columnist. He is the editorial director of the revived Compute!'s Gazette magazine and the creator of RetroWikipedia.com, a collaborative retrocomputing encyclopedia. Bass is also known for his authorship of the motivational book Burn Your Ships: How to Conquer Doubt and Live Without Limits and for hosting two notable podcasts: The Patrick Bass Show and Open Mic Mavericks.

Career

Cybersecurity and technology

Bass has over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and information assurance. In 2014, he founded **InfoSecure Redteam, Inc.**, a boutique security consultancy specializing in PCI DSS policy and red team solutions. He later served as President of **Conformance CyberSecurity**, where he led the creation of **InConRadar**, a merchant website and risk factor monitoring tool.

  • InConRadar* was designed to enhance Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence and provide continuous risk insights. The product received the **PayPal Tech Innovation Award** from the **Electronic Transactions Association (ETA)** in May 2017 for its contributions to fraud prevention and compliance efficiency.[1]

In April 2016, Bass was recognized by **Worldwide Branding** for excellence in information security services, and his profile was added to the Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs.[2]

Editorial and writing

Bass serves as editorial director and columnist for the relaunched Compute!'s Gazette, contributing articles on retrocomputing, digital security, and personal productivity.[3]
