It is not an encyclopedic article, nor one of RetroWikipedia's policies or guidelines; rather, its purpose is to explain certain aspects of RetroWikipedia:Biographies of living persons. It may reflect differing levels of consensus and vetting.

Writing about living (and recently deceased) people requires special care.

In addition to the guidance of Biography dos and don'ts, generally:

DO:
Place {{BLP}} on the article's talk page.
Remove any poorly sourced contentious material.
Find multiple reliable sources for negative information.
Limit content on non-public figures to what's relevant.
Use caution with material published by the subject.
Be kind to people who edit articles about themselves.
Maintain articles, paring back questionable material.
Report incidents on the BLP noticeboard.

DON'T:
Don't make articles on low-profile persons known for one event.^{[lower-alpha 1]}
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest.
Don't name non-notable persons if avoidable.
Don't remove content on public figures just because they ask.
Don't use self-published sources unless by the subject.
Don't categorize people by religion or sexual orientation.^{[lower-alpha 2]}
Don't use images to show subjects in a bad light.
Don't include contacts for living persons.
