Welcome to my user page on RetroWikipedia. I am D2sk, the creator and master administrator of RetroWikipedia. My role involves overseeing editorial quality, maintaining community standards, and ensuring accurate, properly cited content across the platform.
About Me
I am passionate about digital preservation, retro computing, classic gaming history, and archiving cultural knowledge from past decades. I founded RetroWikipedia to provide a collaborative space for curating reliable and well-sourced information about retro-era topics.
As the site's creator and master admin, I am responsible for:
- Maintaining editorial quality and neutrality
- Managing administrator permissions and community policies
- Resolving high-level content disputes
- Promoting consistent use of citation and referencing standards
Editorial Standards
Contributors are expected to follow RetroWikipedia's content guidelines, which emphasize:
- Verifiability through the use of reliable sources
- Neutral point of view in the presentation of content
- Original research is permitted, provided it is well-documented and transparently presented
We recognize the value of research and documentation that has not yet appeared in mainstream publications. Accordingly, RetroWikipedia accepts:
- Original research – analysis, commentary, or synthesis by the editor, provided it is logically sound, clearly stated, and supported with appropriate evidence.
- Primary sources – original materials created at the time under study (e.g. manuals, magazines, technical documentation, first-hand accounts).
- Secondary sources – interpretations or analyses based on primary materials, such as historical overviews, reviews, or retrospective commentary.
We do not tolerate editors who act with an agenda, possess ulterior motives, or seek to suppress knowledge for any reason. RetroWikipedia exists to openly document and share information from the retro era — not to gatekeep it.
